Going deep
A wide range of cells that are well proven as both stand by batteries in nuclear-powered submarines and as the main propulsion source in diesel electric vessels are manufactured by EnerSys in advanced flat plate or tubular plate construction. EnerSys technology in submarine batteries is the result of the experience gained in satisfying the changing needs of navies throughout the world using major brands like Hawker, VHB/Varta and Chloride. Advancements in technology now takes the navies into a new dimension using thin-plate pure lead VRLA batteries for submarines, reducing the service requirements, achieving a true positive flow operation, and improved safety.
